The Karinthy Connection
Ironically, the links in this chain are very difficult to trace. There was a weekly radio program broadcast on 612 ABC Brisbane, Queensland, Australia titled "The Karinthy Connection". This apparently was the first broadcast:

Few people know of the book or the author but you would know the phrase he coined, “six degrees of separation”.

Drive with Matt WebberIf the series picked up again in 2012, I don't have the patience to hunt it down. I cannot find it in the current or recent programming of the station. There is or was a separate program on this station called "The Chain", but whether this was inspired in any way by the same idea I do not know.
